Both are great options. A used Ram ProMaster offers the most affordable path to ownership, while a new van provides the latest features and maximum service life. The Hunker Pod works seamlessly with either.

Unlike a traditional campervan, the Hunker Pod isn't permanently attached to the vehicle. When it's time for a new compatible Ram ProMaster, your Pod can move with you instead of replacing your entire campervan.

The Pod slides in on retractable legs that lower it to floor level, then bolts directly into your van's factory preexisting inserts, no drilling, no permanent mods. It's backed by the same load securing standard trusted industry wide, so it's locked in solid for the road and just as easy to pull back out when you need the van back.

Yes, and actually more so than a lot of traditional builds. Most camper conversions rely on custom drilling into the van floor or walls, often without any certified load standard behind it. The Pod bolts into your van's factory preexisting inserts and follows a certified load securing standard, the same one used across the industry for cargo transport. That means every install meets a known, tested benchmark, not just a builder's best guess.
